David Gray - LIFE IN SLOW MOTION (20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION - GLACIAL BLUE VINYL) 1LP

🎧 LISTENING EXPERIENCE: Drop the needle and breathe in the spacious, crystalline atmosphere of Life in Slow Motion like never before. This glacial blue 20th Anniversary edition offers a serene sonic landscape—Gray’s voice wrapped in cinematic strings, ambient textures, and heartfelt lyricism perfect for mindful, lingering listening. Whether you’re chasing the calm of a rainy afternoon or letting the soft glow of dusk settle in your room, this album rewards attentive ears with subtle dynamics and emotional conviction. Let each track unfold gently, inviting you into moments of quiet reflection and enduring hope, just as fresh and evocative as the first time.

Life in Slow Motion went straight to No.1 in both the UK and Ireland and became a commercial and critical success. But more importantly, it marked the moment when Gray reconnected with the joy of making music-building something lasting. Now, two decades on, Life in Slow Motion is being celebrated with its first-ever release on vinyl - scheduled for mid-September 2025 to mark the album's 20th anniversary. The reissue will be available in three editions: a standard black vinyl, a coloured vinyl, and a deluxe coloured double vinyl edition featuring unreleased demos and a pair of previously unheard tracks from the original sessions.

The anniversary comes at a moment of renewed momentum for Gray. His latest studio album, Dear Life, released in early 2025, has become one of the most successful of his career - both critically and commercially. Its release has sparked a major sell-out world tour, running from January and continuing through the rest of the year, reaffirming Gray's standing as one of the UK's most enduring and compelling songwriters. This reissue of Life in Slow Motion offers the chance to revisit a pivotal album - not just a product of its time, but a body of work that still resonates deeply. Spacious, thoughtful and full of quiet conviction.
